Amid rumors that the legendary Jake Raines is going to be visiting The Barrel Bar that day, the bartender Amir Samara reveals his secret to a patron: that he's a combat veteran of the Battle of Beersheba and that he may have saved Jake's life. Slightly disappointed that he never received any credit for his heroics, he tells the story of that fateful day in Beersheba that has otherwise been lost to history.
