What is animating for Mustache Maniacs Film Co. like?

Most of Mustache Maniacs Film Co.'s animations are stop-motion animations creating using LEGO bricks and minifigures (usually called brickfilms), so while we do expect many of our applicants to have LEGO collections, this is not required. We've also produced traditional animations with pencil and paper, as well as CGI animation, Flash animation, and more. Feel free to show us what you're most comfortable with.

Why do I have to sign a NDA?

We have what is called the Mustache Maniacs Film Co. Cinematic Universe, and in order to maintain its integrity, we have created a story bible that covers everything that has been established so far. An animator would have access to an abridged version of this story bible in order to understand the canonical character designs for the assigned project. However, there are details in the story bible that refer to upcoming projects, something that we have kept behind closed doors. By signing the NDA, you agree to not disclose this information on our official wiki or anywhere else.

What if I have most of the means to create a scene for animation, but I lack a vital component (i.e. a specific minifigure torso)?

For all of our collaborative projects, we do require that everyone that is animating different scenes with the same character stick to the established look for that character. For projects with solo animators, we will handle this on a case-by-case basis with an active dialogue.

The thumbnail says that this is also for operating cameras. Is this true?

Yes. While we mostly create animations, we will also accept live action. Just show us your best work and what you like to do, and we'll go from there. We want to give creative minds a platform to express themselves.
